Ford VCA Type Approval & Pro Convertor Programme

We are currently working towards obtaining VCA Type Approval for our Ford-based campervans, and ultimately joining the Ford Pro Convertor Programme.

At Redline Campers, we have a commitment to quality and high engineering standards. In addition to the quality of the campervan conversions we offer, this is demonstrated by being an NCC Approved Manufacturer and having VCA Type Approval for our current range, and by building campervans following a Quality Management System which is ISO 9001:2015 certified.

To take this commitment to quality and high engineering standards further, we are working closely with Ford to achieve VCA Type Approval for our Ford-based campervan conversions. This will demonstrate the quality and high engineering standards we are already uphold in the conversion of vehicles on the Ford platform. Once we have achieved this, we will be working on joining the Ford Pro Convertor Programme.

By achieving VCA Type Approval for our Ford campervans, we are aiming to join premium convertors across Europe who specialise in multiple and diverse conversions to suit all customer requirements.

As a convertor in the leisure sector, we are working towards being recognised by Ford as being a premium convertor of vehicles on its Ford Transit Custom platform.

VCA Type Approval will be your guarantee that Redline Campers’ Ford-based campervans adhere to the highest manufacturing guidelines. This will also demonstrate that we offer robust customer support, and comprehensive warranty and servicing packages on the Ford Transit Custom platform.

To achieve VCA Type Approval for our Ford-based campervans, our conversions will be reviewed by the Vehicle Certification Agency (VCA) and tested to ensure they meet the performance, technical and safety standards set by the Department for Transport. We are currently working closely with Ford to achieve this.

Whilst to achieve Ford Pro Convertor status, we are required to undergo a comprehensive assessment by Ford to ensure the quality of our design and production methods are some of the best available in the vehicle conversion industry.

VCA Type Approval will be your guarantee that we offer safe, high performing and technically sound campervan conversions.

Once we have achieved VCA Type Approval we will be able to demonstrate that Ford and the VCA are satisfied that we deliver high-quality, reliable Ford Transit Custom conversions. To provide you with additional peace of mind, we will continue to provide equivalent warranty coverage and servicing agreements to Ford on all of the Transit Custom vehicles we offer.

By achieving VCA Type Approval, Redline Campers will join a select number of other companies in the leisure and sport sector.
