If you’re interested in learning more about our flagship model for our latest campervan range, you won’t want to miss the Caravan and Motorhome Club’s review of Redline Sport GT.
To conduct the review, Nick Harding from the Club headed over to Harbury Fields in Warwickshire. Whilst there, he put the campervan through its paces by staying the night at the Caravan and Motorhome Club’s Affiliated Site.
Reviewing a Ford Tourneo-based Redline Sport GT, Nick immediately recognised that Redline is determined to do things right. He mentioned Redline’s NCC Manufacturer Approval, VCA Whole Vehicle Type Approval, and the fact that Redline is working alongside Ford, as a few examples of this.
When it came to the campervan interior, Nick praised the cam and dowel furniture construction, and the furniture edge banding.
Discussing the campervan’s Mobiframe sliding seat/bed system, Nick pointed out that this can be slid backwards and forwards, and that it offers plenty of storage space underneath. Offering his thoughts about this in further detail, Nick commented, “So in daytime mode here, I have to say what a lot of lounge space this has. This is only a five-metre-long campervan, but that is the beauty of a seat system like this. You can push it all the way back and swivel around the cab seats, and you’ve got a lot of area to live in.”
Summing up the campervan’s lounge area, Nick said, “So a really good lounge for a campervan, especially, but it actually puts to shame some of the larger van conversions that are on the market at the moment.“
Nick’s praise continued, with him stating, “I do like the details in this campervan, everything from the sliding windows that open on both sides, these concertina blinds are all neatly inset. There are the locker doors throughout. A tambour door locker here with shelving and a hanging rail so you can take the shelving out if you want to make it into a wardrobe.“
Offering his final thoughts on the Sport GT, Nick concluded his review by saying, “I like the idea that Redline have gone about getting their own elevating roof using top quality fabrics. I like some of the interior trim and the ideas that have gone on in there. I like the fact it is the Camper Donor version of the Ford Transit Tourneo.“
Whilst offering his thoughts on the base vehicle utilised for the conversion, Nick commented, “I’ve really enjoyed driving this machine. It’s luxurious, it’s got the more powerful engine, and it’s got the automatic transmission, and if you’ve got the money, I would certainly recommend both of these.”
