At Redline Campers, we are here to provide you with peace of mind when you buy a campervan. That’s why with every campervan we offer from our Daventry and Hitchin branches, we provide comprehensive warranty cover. We take great pride in our campervan builds, so this includes campervans sold from our forecourts and campervans that we have built to order.

Our conversion warranty ensures you are covered should any of the conversion components in your campervan fail due to defects in materials or workmanship during normal use. Should this occur, we promise to repair or replace said components.

We’re confident in the quality of our conversions, though, which is why we provide a warranty period of up to 60 months on our brand new VW and Ford campervans.

Faults must be reported within 7 days of discovery. Provide the Vehicle Registration Mark (VRM), mileage, and a description of the issue and photos.

Volkswagen Roadside Assistance

Every new VW Transporter comes complete with up to 5 years’ roadside assistance from Volkswagen. This provides you with roadside rescue, repair, and vehicle recovery anywhere across Europe.

Campervan conversion warranty terms and conditions

Applies to: Redline Campers conversion

Warranty term: Effective from the date of purchase

Territory: United Kingdom

Definitions

Conversion: Living area components, including appliances and fixtures installed for recreational use.

Customer: The person named on the sales invoice.

Authorised Repairer: The supplying Venture Caravans & Motorhomes dealership.

Claim: A request for repair made under this warranty.

Warranty scope and duration

Our warranty covers the camper conversion work and components installed by Redline Campers only. It does not cover the base vehicle (engine, gearbox, chassis, or manufacturer‑fitted systems), which remains the responsibility of the vehicle manufacturer or vehicle seller. For warranty information relating to the vehicle, please refer to your vehicle warranty policy.
This warranty provides repair or replacement of covered conversion components that fail due to defects in materials or workmanship during normal use for 3 years (except for excluded items) from the Date of Purchase. Some components are subject to a shorter warranty period due to manufacturer limitations and normal service life.

Items covered

12V/230V electrical: 12V leisure electrical system, Split‑charge system, DC‑DC charger, relays, consumer unit, RCD/MCB protection, 230V hook-up inlet and wiring, control panels and switches, wiring looms installed as part of the conversion (manufacturing/installation defects)

Gas systems: Gas regulator and fixed pipework, isolation taps, appliance burners, igniters, flame‑failure devices, gas locker installation, and drop‑out vents

Water systems: Fresh and waste water tanks installed by Redline Campers, pipework, fittings, non‑return valves, taps and mixer taps, sink and drain installations, water level sensors (if fitted)

Furniture and interior fit‑Out: Furniture units built and installed by Redline Campers, hinges, catches, drawer runners, bed frames and seat/bed mechanisms, table mounts and rails, interior panelling installed as part of the conversion.

Windows, roof, roof tent, and ventilation: Opening and closing mechanisms, installation‑related leaks caused by defective workmanship, defective roof, roof canvas and vents, seal failure due to incorrect installation (not age‑related degradation).

Water ingress: Body leaks as a result of conversion faults, unless caused by damage or misuse.

Items with limited cover

The following items are covered by their individual manufacturer’s warranties and are not covered within this warranty policy. Please refer to each item’s handbook for further details.

Appliances: Fridges, hobs, grills, ovens, and air fryers.

Heating and hot water: Diesel, gas, or electric heaters installed by Redline Campers, boilers/water heaters (PCBs, fans, sensors, heat exchangers), control panels and thermostats, ducting and vents related to the installed system.

Water: Water pumps

Items not covered by our warranty

The conversion warranty is separate from the base vehicle warranty and does not include the following items.

Base vehicle: Engine, gearbox, clutch, turbo, brakes, suspension, steering, wheels, tyres, manufacturer‑fitted electrics or infotainment, air‑conditioning systems, vehicle bodywork, paint, corrosion, vehicle ECUs or sensors not part of the conversion.

Wear and tear/consumables: Fuses, bulbs, filters, seals and gaskets subject to normal aging, batteries after the initial warranty period, gas hoses and regulators subject to routine replacement intervals.

Routine maintenance: Routine servicing or inspections, gas safety checks after installation, cleaning, adjustment, or recalibration, winterisation or draining down of water systems.

Cosmetic and trim: Paint, lacquer, decals, upholstery, carpets, curtains/blinds, minor interior/exterior blemishes, scratches, dents.

Corrosion and damp: Condensation, damp caused by lack of maintenance, water ingress due to age, seal shrinkage or user damage, leaks caused by third‑party modifications.

Damage and misuse: Accident damage, impact, flood, fire (unless caused by the failure of a covered component), freezing damage, improper storage, overloading, racing/competition, off‑road misuse, continued use after fault.

Third‑party and aftermarket: Non‑standard accessories, modifications, remaps, solar systems, trackers, alarms, satellite dishes, bike racks, air‑suspension kits.

External causes: Rodents, insects, vermin, water contamination, power surges from external hookups, poor shore power quality.

Diagnosis without approval: Work commenced without prior written authorisation; mobile call‑outs and recovery.

Commercial use: Rental, hire, or other commercial use.

Overuse: Coverage excludes vehicles used as permanent or semi-permanent residences (120 + days per year).

Consequential losses: Travel, accommodation, loss of use, inconvenience, business interruption, or any indirect damages.

Pre‑existing/declared faults: Defects noted at sale or priced into the deal, and items sold as inoperative.

Limits of liability

Per‑claim limit: Up to £1,000 including parts and labour.

Aggregate limit: Up to £3,000 over the warranty term.

Parts: We may supply new, reconditioned, or OEM‑equivalent parts at our discretion.

Territorial use: Claims must be performed at a Venture Caravans & Motorhomes branch. In some circumstances, we may authorise repairs at an alternative repairer at our discretion.

Customer responsibilities

Habitation: Annual habitation service and gas safety check to be performed by Venture Caravans & Motorhomes.

Operation: Use appliances per manufacturer instructions; winterise to prevent frost damage; use correct hookup voltages and certified gas regulators/hose.

Prompt reporting: Stop using the affected system/vehicle if a fault occurs

Making a claim

Assessment: We will assess your claim, but you may be required to bring your campervan in to a Venture Caravans & Motorhomes branch for further assessment before any authorisation can be given.

Authorisation: We will issue written approval before any work begins.

Repair: On approval, repairs can proceed at one of our Daventry or Hitchin branches (as per the above limits).

Turnaround: We aim to respond within 2 business days and book in approved repairs promptly.

Documentation required: Sales invoice, proof of maintenance, and photos.

Transferability

Our campervan conversion warranty is not transferable unless explicitly agreed in writing.

Cancellation

Our campervan conversion warranty is included as part of a campervan conversion package and cannot be exchanged for cash or sold separately.
We may cancel for material breach (e.g., fraud, misuse), with written notice.

Interaction with statutory rights

Our campervan conversion warranty supplements your statutory rights and does not affect them. Your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 (including remedies for goods not of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose, or as described) remain intact.

Governing law and jurisdiction

Our campervan conversion warranty is governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

Schedule of coverage

Included: Conversion electrical systems, gas system (where installed by Redline Campers), water system and plumbing, heating and hot water systems, appliances supplied and fitted by Redline Campers, furniture and bed systems, windows, rooflights, vents installed by Redline Campers.

Not Included: Base vehicle and mechanical components, routine servicing and maintenance, wear and tear items, windows, brightwork, entertainment systems, cosmetic trim, curtains, upholstery, blinds, awning fabric, general seal degradation, damp due to age/maintenance, and aftermarket accessories not installed by Redline Campers.

Examples for clarity

Covered:

  • Leisure battery charging fault caused by defective split‑charge wiring
  • Roof leaking due to the incorrect installation of a seal
  • Water pump failure caused by an internal manufacturing defect
  • The heater control panel not functioning due to a faulty PCB
  • Drawer runners detaching due to an installation defect
  • Fridge failing to operate on 12V due to a wiring fault in the conversion

Not Covered:

  • Flat starter battery or vehicle alternator failure
  • Water system damage caused by frost after failure to drain down
  • Damp caused by poor ventilation or lack of maintenance
  • Appliance failure after unauthorised repair or modification
  • Broken furniture caused by impact or misuse
  • Engine management warning lights or vehicle electrical faults
