The VW T6 is the sixth generation of the iconic Volkswagen Transporter van and the successor to the T5. Produced between 2015 to 2019, the T6 has a diesel engine, is available in both long wheelbase and short wheelbase, and comes in the following trims – Startline, Trendline, and Highline.
Like previous generations of Transporter before it, the T6 is a very popular platform to build campervans on due to the size, spec and quality of the vehicle. It is for these reasons, we choose to use the T6 for our campervan conversions at Redline Campers.

Our VW T6 Campervan Range
As the VW T6 was replaced with the facelifted T6.1 in 2019, the VW T6 campervans you will find here will be a combination of used campervans and used vans with brand new campervan conversions.
Whilst the VW T6 utilises the same chassis as the VW T5 and features a similar look, this is largely where the similarities end as the T6 introduced all kinds of new technology to the Transporter platform. These extra features include regenerative braking and start/stop button ignition to increase fuel economy and an APCB (automatic post collision braking) system that makes T6s even safer than the already fortress-like T5.
Across our VW T6 range, you can expect to find T6 vehicles with barn doors and tailgates to the rear, with power outputs of 84bhp, 102bhp, 150bhp and 180bhp, and with both manual and automatic/DSG gearboxes.
The entire Redline conversion range is available on the VW T6 platform, this includes our Classic, Sport, Sport XS, Sport SKR, Sport+, and Trekker models.
