Produced from 2019 onwards, the VW T6.1 is a facelifted version of the VW T6, the sixth generation of the iconic Volkswagen Transporter. Arguably, the most popular vehicle used for campervan conversions currently, the reason for its popularity is its size, spec, reliability, and the overall quality of the vehicle. These are all points that we agree with at Redline, and it is why we choose to use the T6.1 for the majority of our campervan conversions.

Our VW T6.1 Campervan Range
As a facelifted version of the VW T6, the T6.1 brings with it a redesigned front end featuring larger grille openings, narrower high-intensity H7 headlights, daytime running lights, and LED rear lights to the exterior. Whilst to the cabin, the T6.1 is available with a digital dashboard, 10.25-inch Digital Cockpit, and driver assistance systems including Cross Wind Assist, Lane Assist, and Park Assist. The T6.1 also features an upgraded engine that provides better MPG and range, which when used for a campervan makes life on the road more efficient with less stops and more adventures.
Across our VW T6.1 campervan range, you will find a wide variety of brand new and used vehicles. When it comes to used T6.1 vehicles, these will include both used campervans and used vans with new campervan conversions. All of the used vehicles here will have been subject to our stringent quality checks.
Throughout our VW T6.1 range, you can expect to find T6.1 vehicles with barn doors and tailgates to the rear, power outputs ranging from 90bhp to 204bhp, and both manual and automatic/DSG gearboxes available. In terms of trims, the VW T6.1 is available in Startline, Highline and Sportline. You will also find both front wheel drive and 4Motion four-wheel drive vehicles.
Models currently available on the VW T6.1 platform include the Classic, Sport, Sport XS, Sport+, and Trekker models.
