In this guide, Dave Webb from Redline Campers shows you how to use the Mobiframe seat/bed system that is fitted to our Sport GT and Sport GT XS campervan models.

Whilst he demonstrates this utilising the Mobiframe 126cm three-seater double bed system fitted to our Sport GT XS campervan models, this guide is also applicable to the Mobiframe 112cm two-seater double bed system fitted to our Sport GT campervan models.

Moving a Mobiframe seat/bed system to where you require the space

As they are fitted to a sliding rail system, Mobiframe seat/bed systems can move exactly where you want them and provide space where you require it. This means you can have the system further forward if you would like your passengers to be sitting nearer to you, or you can have it further backwards if you would like more storage space to the centre of the vehicle. If choosing to have it further forwards, this provides you with a traditional boot space. Whilst having it positioned further backwards is ideal when you are making it into a bed.

Moving a Mobiframe seat/bed system is simple. To do this, you will find a black handle to the bottom of the seat/bed system (pictured below) that should be pulled up and along to your desired position. Once the seat/bed system is in place, it’s then a case of pushing the handle back down to secure it in place. If you would like to move this backwards, the process should be repeated.

Turning a Mobiframe system from a seat to a bed

Turning the system from seating into a bed is an equally simple process. This initially involves utilising the black handle beneath the seat base to move this section forwards (see picture below). This will create a gap between the seat base and the seat backrest.

Once the seat base has been moved forwards, the seat base should be lifted up and flipped over (as the picture below shows).

With the seat base lifted up and flipped over, the bed’s frame will be exposed and a red handle will be visible. This handle should be lifted up and pulled out (as seen below).

Lifting this handle up and pulling it out will allow you to drop the seat backrest down. With this dropped down, the seat/bed system should look like the below picture. You will notice that this can be achieved without having to move the headrests.

Finally, to ensure the bed is all one level, it’s simply a case of folding the middle cushion over (see below).

Positioning the bed’s back rest

So that you can sit up in bed and read, the bed has a handy maneuverable backrest. This is achieved by simply using the backrest’s pull handle (see below).
