4Motion is Volkswagen’s all-wheel drive (AWD) system.

VW uses 4Motion as the name for all of the four-wheel drive models in its vehicle range. We build our campervans using VW Transporter T6, T6.1 and T7 vehicles, all of which have 4Motion variants available.

VW’s 4Motion system works by sending engine power to both the front and rear axle. Whereas in VW’s two wheel drive models, power is just sent to one axle.
