What are the differences between your campervan models?
At Redline Campers, we offer six different campervan conversion models – the Classic, Sport, Sport XS, Sport +, Sport GT, and Trekker.
As we are an NCC Approved Manufacturer and have VCA Type Approval, all of these models are built in-house to the same exacting standards at our Daventry production facility. To ensure we are able to meet these standards time after time, every campervan conversion is built following our ISO 9001:2015 certified quality management system.
Whilst every campervan model in our range is built to the same standards, there are differences in our campervan layouts which make them more suitable for specific size groups or uses. Read on to learn more about these differences:
Redline Classic
Available on VW T6.1 base vehicles, the Redline Classic comes with either 4 or 5 seats.
As our entry-level campervan model, the Redline Classic features the following differences to the rest of the models:
- It isn’t fitted with a Cabanon roof tent
- It isn’t insulated
- It doesn’t have flush-fit sliding windows in the habitation area
- It doesn’t have individually lined storage lockers
- It has a 12L internal water tank rather than a 45L onboard water tank with external filling point
- It doesn’t have a Sterling battery to battery charger
- It has 2 x USB sockets as oppose to the 6 x USB sockets available in our other conversions
- It has one-touch dimmable LED lighting but not LED strip lighting or floor-level LED lighting
- Vegas control panel
Due to offering an excellent quality conversion at a great value price, our Redline Classic campervan model was the recipient of the ‘Highly Commended’ award for ‘Best Budget Campervan’ at the Practical Motorhome Awards 2025.

Redline Sport
Available on VW T6.1 and Ford Transit Custom base vehicles, the Redline Sport comes with either 4 or 5 seats and is our best-selling model.
The Redline Sport has the following features over and above the Redline Classic:
- Cabanon roof tent
- Fully insulated design with Thermo-Shield construction, 8mm foil back foam, and 25mm Dacron insulation
- Flush-fit sliding windows in the habitation area
- Individually lined storage lockers
- 45L onboard water tank with external filling point
- Sterling battery to battery charger
- 6 x USB sockets (4 more than the Classic campervan model)
- Wireless charging for mobile devices
- One-touch dimmable LED lighting, LED strip lighting, and floor-level LED lighting
- Dometic 12V fridge with an integral removable freezer compartment
- Seattle digital control panel

Redline Sport XS
Available on VW T6.1 and Ford Transit Custom base vehicles, the Redline Sport XS comes with either 5 or 6 seats and benefits from an extra seat compared to the rest of the range, hence XS (which stands for eXtra Seat).
The Redline Sport XS offers the following features which are different to those that the Redline Sport offers:
- Choice of 5 or 6 seats (either comprising a single passenger seat and a 3-seater RIB Altair 130 seat/bed system, or a double passenger seat and a 3-seater RIB Altair 130 seat/bed system), rather than 4 or 5 seats
- Features a 3-seater RIB Altair 130 seat/bed system, rather than the 2-seater RIB Altair 112 seat/bed system installed in our Classic, Sport, and Sport + campervan models
- Fitted with a Dometic one-burner gas hob if built on a SWB van, or a Dometic two-burner gas hob if built on a LWB van

Redline Sport +
Available on VW T6.1 and Ford Transit Custom base vehicles, the Redline Sport + comes with either 4 or 5 seats, and a range of premium upgrades including:
- Vanshades Window Pods on all rear windows
- Trackstar Thatcham S7 tracking system (including 1 year subscription)
- Rear overhead storage lockers
- Under counter colour changing remote controlled LED down lighting
- Worktop protector hot rods with drawer and locker underneath
- Innovative opening drawer and removable worktop
- Side door stored freestanding table

Redline Sport GT
Available on the new Ford Transit Custom and VW T7 base vehicles.
Featuring a spec largely the same as our bestselling Redline Sport campervan conversion, the biggest differences between our Redline Sport GT model and the rest of our range are the vehicles it is built on. As our next generation campervan, the Redline Sport GT is built exclusively on the VW T7 and new Ford Transit Custom platforms.
One additional key difference between the Redline Sport GT and the Redline Sport is the seating/bed system used in this model. Whilst the Redline Sport features a RIB Altair 112 seat/bed system, the Redline Sport GT features a Mobiframe 2 seater sliding seat/bed system.

Redline Trekker
Available on VW T6.1 and Ford Transit Custom base vehicles, the Redline Trekker comes with either 5 or 6 seats.
Unlike the rest of our range, the Redline Trekker is designed to be a day van rather than a fully equipped campervan. Whilst the Trekker does have four berths, it doesn’t have kitchen facilities and has a sliding seat/bed system in order to maximise the space available inside. This allows the Trekker to be used for transporting equipment which makes this model popular with mountain bikers, cyclists, kayakers, paddleboarders, and fishermen.
Also making it different to our other models, the Redline Trekker features a Mobiframe 150 3-seater seat/bed system.

- Features a swivelling driver’s seat, as standard

- Our bespoke power management system is available as an optional upgrade

- It isn’t fitted with a gas hob
- It isn’t fitted with gas grill
- It isn’t fitted with a sink
